This forum was killed off by mobile phones and new phone forums such as Facebook. Such a shame ! This site used to be superb for exposing residents' grievances.

This forim was also used to successfully defeat the developer's attempt to destroy our car free environment by bringing in taxis ( and even private cars). A still-present prominent member of the DB community stood for election as a District councillor using the promotion of taxis within DB as his main campaigning ticket. He lost the election by a wide margin because the majority of residents,who are opposed to the eroson of the car free concept, turned out to vote against him.  The person concerned is now attemting again to bring taxis into the whole of DB without restrictions. This is also being driven by HKRI which want taxis in to serve their ill-advised over-expansion of white-elephant grandiose commercial facilties.
